Police investigating break and enter and theft of over $5,000 on Rutherford Street

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Police are investigating a break-in and enter that occurred early Sunday. Police say that the crime occurred at 4:45 a.m. at a store located on the 500 block of Rutherford Street NW.

The perpetrators broke in by smashing windows where they stole money from the cash register as well as using a vehicle to remove the ATM from the store. This also brings in charges of theft over $5,000.

Police say that the suspects were driving a blue Dodge Ram half-ton truck that they also suspect to be stolen from a prior incident.
