Highway north of Brooks closed due to motor vehicle collision

UPDATE 6:35 o.m.: RCMP in Brooks advise that Highway #550 near Duchess is reopened.

BROOKS, AB – A highway north of Brooks is closed after a serious collision on Monday morning.

Brooks RCMP are on scene at the motor vehicle collision on Highway 550. RCMP say the highway is impassable from Highway 36 to the Town of Duchess.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist is en route and motorists are asked to avoid the area.

RCMP say more information will be provided when the collision is cleared.
