Top seeds win at City Singles Tennis Tournament

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Tennis Club held its City Singles Tennis Tournament this past weekend, and there were no surprises in the finals.

The top seeds won the men’s and women’s open titles, both besting the second seed in their final.

Calvin Heller defeated Niall Weich 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 in the men’s match. Dannan McElroy-O’Driscoll defeated Dawn Olson 6-2, 6-4 for the women’s title.

Riley Danroth defeated Messele Fentabil 6-2, 6-1 in the men’s consolation final. In women’s play, Sandy McIntosh defeated CoraLee Riehl 6-1, 6-1 in the consolation.
