Repairs on Sierra Boulevard set to start this week

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Repair work on Sierra Boulevard is slated to begin on Wednesday and is expected to be finished by the end of June, the City of Medicine Hat says in a release.

During the work, which is weather permitting, traffic along the roadway between South Ridge Drive and Sunrise Gate will be restricted to one lane in each direction. To help reduce congestion in the area, the signal timing at the intersection of Sierra Boulevard/Strachan Road and South Ridge Drive will be adjusted.

Delays at the intersection should be expected and motorists should plan accordingly. Pedestrian access and movement will be unaffected.

Motorists are reminded to obey all signage and directions by flag personnel in the work zone.
