Alberta Air Tour to take flight, touch down at Brooks this weekend
BROOKS, AB – The Alberta Air Tour will land at the Brooks Regional Airport on Saturday, June 3.
The Brooks Newell Region is the first stop on the 2023 tour and will showcase the region to aviators from across Alberta, as well as allow local aviation enthusiasts to take part. Up to 40 planes could be part of the event, according to a release from the City of Brooks.
The tentative schedule for the day starts with aircraft arrival from 7-8 a.m. After a private breakfast for the pilots, members of the public will have access to the aircraft for viewing, photos and to ask questions of the pilots from 8:15-10 a.m. The aircraft will depart between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.
Informational displays will be set up by the Alberta Air Tours group, as well as a raffle ticket booth for a free helicopter ride.
