City reminding trail users to be alert, safe

MEDICINE HAT, AB – With more joggers, cyclists, families, children and animals on the trails, the City of Medicine Hat’s Parks, Recreation and Culture department is reminding users to stay alert and safe.
Starting May 22, for May long weekend, the city will launch a series of trail etiquette practices, called “Share the Trails.”
Share the Trails includes a series of digital ads and videos, informative signage, bicycle bells, school contests and posters that are distributed throughout the city. The prompts will focus on staying alert and safe, and remaining predictable to other trail users.
The intent is to make sure everyone feels safe and understands the rules of the road, so the trails can be shared.
