MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers added two players to their prospect pool at today’s Western Hockey League U.S. Priority Draft.

With their first pick the Tigers selected Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll from the Chicago Mission U14AAA at ninth overall. The forward had 12 goals and eight assists in 15 games in the 2022-23 season.

Tigers director of player personnel Bobby Fox told the team’s website that Gordon-Carroll has all the tools to be a great Tiger.

“Schaefer is a power forward with speed and strength,” he said. “He plays a diverse game having offensive flare while being strong in battles and on the puck.”

Picking at 31st overall the Tigers picked Noah Davidson from the L.A. Junior Kings U14AAA program

Davidson racked up 107 points on 60 goals and 47 assists in 51 games played this season.

“Noah is another good-sized forward with power elements, a nice set of hands, and a heavy shot. He demonstrates strong play in all three zones and has a strong will to get to the net,” Fox said.

On Thursday is the WHL Prospects Draft. The Tigers will pick in the ninth spot in first round.
