Canadian Tire to purchase Bed, Bath & Beyond leases, relocate Mark’s in Medicine Hat

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A major retail chain is stepping forward to take over the site of the Bed, Bath & Beyond store in Medicine Hat.

Canadian Tire Corporation has agreed to acquire 10 strategic real estate leases formerly held by the home decor store for a total of $1.6 million. In a news release, the company says it plans to relocate its Mark’s location from the Canadian Tire store into the former Bed, Bath & Beyond store.

Mark’s stores will also be relocated in Grande Prairie, Red Deer and Strathcona County, Alberta, as well as Langley, B.C. and Oakville Ont. At the other four lease locations, all in Ontario, Canadian Tire will establish four new Pro Hockey Life stores

Mark’s president PJ Czank says the relocated stores will feature more products and deeper assortments of the company’s best brands.
