Replacement of concrete panels at two major intersections on the TCH starts next week
MEDICINE HAT — Two major intersections on the Trans Canada highway in Medicine Hat are scheduled to have repair work starting next week.
Alberta Transportation will begin work on Monday to remove and replace failing concrete pavement panels along the Number One in the city, with construction concentrated on the 6th Street SW intersection near the Wyndham Garden Conference Centre, and at the 16th Street SW intersection near the Husky and Esso travel centre.
Motorists should expect delays due to lane closures and speed reductions over the expected 5 week duration of the project.
Since concrete takes up to three days to cure, lanes will remain closed with no visible work activity at times.
