Victory Lutheran Church moving church services on Sunday
MEDICINE HAT, AB – A broken pipe underground is forcing Victory Lutheran Church to cancel services on Sunday.
The pipe break has impacted water and toilets so the church can not legally operate the building.
Victory Lutheran says “fortunately, our friends at St. Peter Lutheran are willing to host us as we await repairs on the pipe. We will therefore be holding two Sunday services at St. Peter, one at 9am and one at 10:30am, this Sunday (April 16) and potentially the following Sunday (April 23) as well, depending on the repair timeline.”
Victory Luthern adds “the city is coming to investigate the broken pipe on Wednesday and they will determine whether it is their property or ours, that is, who will be paying for the work. Until this initial investigation by the city is complete, we will not know how long the repair will take. We will be sure to keep everyone up to date as we deal with this issue.”
