Bandits look to advance to AJHL championship tonight

BLACKFALDS, AB – The Brooks Bandits are one win away from advancing to the Alberta Junior Hockey League championship final.

The Bandits scored a 5-3 victory over the Blackfalds Bulldogs on Tuesday night and took a 3-0 lead in the AJHL South Final.

The teams traded goals in the first period and early minutes of the second. Heath Armstrong, Aiden Fink and Jordan Hughesman struck for the Bandits. Around the halfway mark of the middle frame, Fink’s second of the game gave the Bandits their first two-goal lead and Nathan Free extended the lead midway through the third. Blackfalds scored once more to round out the scoring.

The Bandits can end the series with a win in Game 4 tonight.
