MEDICINE HAT, AB – The season is over for the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Despite playing arguably their best game of the series the Tigers were swept out of the playoffs in a 3-2 loss to the Winnipeg Ice on Wednesday night at Co-op Place.

For the second straight night the Tigers found themselves behind early when Matthew Savoie scored just 1:14 into the game. Unlike before the Tigers answered quickly courtesy of a Dru Krebs goal 16 seconds later.

The teams played scoreless until midway through the second when the Ice’s Owen Pederson restored the lead. The Tigers’ Hunter St. Martin answered back to send the teams into the final frame tied 2-2.
