Brooks Bandits one win from South Final

BROOKS, AB – The Brooks Bandits are one win away from another trip to the Alberta Junior Hockey League South Division Final.

The Bandits scored four times in the first period and then held off the Okotoks Oilers to earn a 4-2 victory in Game 5 of the South Division semi-finals series on Friday.

Heath Armstrong, Tyler Blocha, Hudson Malinoski and Nathan Free all scored in the win. Oilers Dean Spak and Brett Huxley scored in the third period to cut the Bandits’ lead in half but that was as close as the Oilers would get.

Brooks can end the series in Game 6 in Okotoks on Sunday night.
