MEDICINE HAT, AB – The crack of bats and the roar of crowds will soon be heard on Medicine Hat baseball diamonds.
Overseeing it all and calling the balls, strikes and outs are a dedicated group of umpires. A clinic for umpires starts this weekend and will teach adults and youth the finer points of being an umpire.
Randy Laughlin of the Medicine Hat Little League Umpires Association joined Dan Reynish on CHAT News at Noon to talk about what will be taught at the clinic, umpires having their own punch-out move and how he defines the best umpire out there.
