Mar 22, 2023 | 8:46 AM

REGINA – The Saskatchewan government is delivering its budget today and expectations are high for more program funding.

Finance Minister Donna Harpauer says she is to unveil a substantial projected surplus.

She says the government plans to spend more on programs that address cost-of-living and health-care pressures.

Harpauer says there will be no new taxes or tax cuts.

Various health-care and teacher unions are asking the government to increase funding to address staffing challenges.

The NDP Opposition has also asked for additional measures to help people struggling to afford everyday goods.
