Voicelliano Trio wins 2023 Rotary Music Festival Rose Bowl

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The last lyrics have been sung and the final notes hit at the 2023 Medicine Hat Rotary Music Festival.

Voicelliano Trio was awarded the festival’s Rose Bowl prize on Sunday evening and 43 recommendations were made for the provincial festival this spring.

Stirling Clark, Emma Lavigne and Laec Lorentzen make up Voicelliano Trio, who competed in the Chamber section of the festival.

Lavigne pulled triple duty during the Rose Bowl concert on March 17. Lavigne performed solo in the Musical Theatre and Vocal sections. Clark performed solo in Piano as well as with Voicelliano Trio.

Other Rose Bowl performers were MHC Girls Choir (Choral); Debasri Jena (Speech); Muse Munson (Woodwind); and Denis Kim (Violin/Viola).

The Alberta Provincial Festival is set for May 29 to June 2 in Edmonton.
