City council looks at creating more medium-density residential zoning

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Council will be hearing the first readings on land-use bylaws that are looking to rezone commercial areas to medium density residential areas.

The bylaws propose the South Urban Village and an area off Balmoral Street SE should be rezoned into medium-density residential areas.

Also tonight, council will hear a presentation from the city’s managing director on local gas wells.

The presentation will highlight the historic development of gas wells in Medicine Hat and address present and future well projects.

The Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta will also make a public presentation to council at tonight’s regular meeting.
