Autopsy confirms Edmonton police officers were killed by gunshots

Police in Edmonton have released autopsy results after the deaths of constables Brett Ryan and Travis Jordan last week while they were responding to a non-violent domestic dispute at an apartment building.

In a news release, the Edmonton Police Service says in both cases, the cause of death was confirmed to be gunshot wounds with the manner of death being homicide.

Police have said Ryan and Travis Jordan were gunned down Thursday by a teen who later killed himself.

They say information on the public portion of the funeral arrangements for the fallen officers will be released when it becomes available.
