A St.Patrick’s Day celebration at the local pub

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Lucky charms, green shamrocks, and drinks that taste better, the greener they are.

Today is St. Patrick’s Day.

And we caught up with some locals, celebrating at Medicine Hat Brewing Company.

“Yeah just having a beer and something to eat and then another beer tonight just to celebrate,” said Michael Whaley.

“We’re just having a great day here celebrating St.Patrick’s Day at Medicine Hat Brewing Company. We’re having the fabulous fish and chips,” said Melanie Whaley.

As for Medicine Hat Brewing Company’s owner, Brennan Vancurren, he says the day is about giveaways, tap room prices and food features.

Every hour at the pub, names will be drawn from a spinning wheel. Those lucky people will win shirts, glasses, growlers and gift cards.

The local pub owner is expecting lots of people to come out and celebrate the Irish holiday.

“But we hope to see a lot of green, and a lot of people having fun and enjoying themselves,” said Vancurren.
