Man arrested and accused of multiple break and enters to businesses

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A 35-year-old Medicine Hat man is facing charges after an investigation into a string of break and enter’s.

The regional property crime unit began investigating after getting numerous reports of break in’s in November of 2022.

Several fast food restaurants were targeted in and around Medicine Hat, as well as a strip mall.

Police executed a search warrant on a home in Crescent Heights in Medicine Hat on March 8, and arrested 35-year-old Kris Simons.

Simons is accused of nine counts of break and enter to a business, breach of a release order and theft under $5,000.

He remains in police custody.

The ALERT unit was assisted in the investigation by the Medicine Hat Police Service and Redcliff RCMP.
