Rattlers going to women’s futsal championship

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Making the year-end championship is what every college sports team aspires to do at the beginning of the year, but only a handful can accomplish the feat.

The Medicine Hat Rattlers are in the 2023 ACAC Women’s Futsal Championship this weekend at Keyano College in Fort McMurray.

Medicine Hat is one of six teams in the tournament. They’ll kick things off against The King’s University on Friday at 8 a.m and then play NAIT at 1 p.m.

On Saturday afternoon qualifying games for the semi-finals begin. The semis, and the bronze and gold medal games will be held on Sunday.

During the South Regional tournament in February, the Rattlers were dominant. They finished with a 4-1 record, outscoring their opponents by a total score of 27-5.
