City taking expressions of interest on Primrose Drive land parcel

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A deal that would have seen a condo complex developed on a prime piece of city land has fallen through and the property is back on the market.

Earlier this week the City of Medicine Hat said it accepting “expressions of interest” for the property at 352 Primrose Dr. next to College Drive.

The piece of land was the subject of a conditional sale in 2019 with public opinion split on the proposed development.

The city said this week the property is serviced and zoned as medium density residential (MD-R) for immediate development under the existing design guidelines in place from the original sale mandate established in 2019.

More information about the property, listed at $1.28 million, and terms of the request for expressions of interest are available on the city’s website.
