Cubs hope to retake series lead
MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Cubs are hoping to come within one victory of a series win on Friday night at Kinplex.
After falling 6-4 to the Cochrane Generals in Game 4 on the road on Wednesday, they’re looking to bounce back and retake the series lead. Losing back-to-back games and surrendering the series lead to Cochrane would be detrimental to their chances.
Medicine Hat split both home and away games with Cochrane, earning victories in Games two and three. It’s been a tightly contested back and forth series through the first four contests, with the Cubs outscoring the Generals 16-15.
Kyle Woolridge leads Medicine Hat in playoff scoring with seven goals and nine point through four games, Patrick Forde leads Cochrane with nine goals and 13 points in six games.
