McDavid, Ullmark, Gibson named NHL’s three stars of the week
NEW YORK — Edmonton Oilers centre Connor McDavid, Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark and Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson have been named the NHL three stars of the week.
McDavid led the league with six goals and 11 points in three games as the Oilers posted a 2-1 week and moved into third place in the Pacific Division.
He had two goals and an assist in the third period and his eighth game-winning goal of the season as the Oilers posted a 4-2 comeback victory over Philadelphia on Tuesday.
He reached the 800-point milestone in that game, becoming the fifth-fastest (545th game) and fifth-youngest (26 years 39 days) player in league history to do so.
