Pregame: Tigers at Pats
MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers will look to move ahead of one of their conference rivals tonight in Regina.
The Tigers and Pats are tied with 55 points each but with fewer games played the Pats are in sixth place and the Tigers are in eighth. The Calgary Hitmen are in the middle, also with 55 points. The three currently hold the final three playoff spots in the Eastern Conference.
The Tigers have won both previous meetings with the Pats this season, 6-4 in Regina on Jan. 29 and 5-1 in Medicine Hat on Feb. 5. Bogdans Hodass and Oasiz Wiesblatt have tallied four points apiece against the Pats. Teenage superstar Connor Bedard has been in on each of the Pats’ goals, torching the Tigers for four goals and one assist.
The Tigers (23-22-8-1) come into the contest with points in each of their last three games and in five of their last six. The Pats (26-24-2-1) have won four of their seven games this month, including a 4-2 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Monday.
