Quick start sends Tigers to 4-1 victory over Red Deer
Home ice didn’t do either team any favours in the Family Day weekend home-and-home between the Medicine Hat Tigers and the Red Deer Rebels.
The Tigers dumped the Rebels 4-1 on Monday in Red Deer, splitting the series after the Rebels bested the Tigers 5-4 in overtime on Saturday in Medicine Hat.
Leading goal-scorer Brendan Lee opened and closed the scoring for the Tabbies, netting his 23rd and 24th goals of the season. In between those Andrew Basha and Cayden Lindstrom also scored for Medicine Hat. Kai Uchacz scored his 44th goal of the season for the Rebels.
Beckett Langkow made 16 stops to pick up his 20th win of the season.
