MEDICINE HAT, AB – The regular season series between the Brooks Bandits and Calgary Canucks comes to a close on Friday night, and it can’t end quick enough for Calgary.

Brooks will host Calgary at Centennial Regional Arena with puck drop taking place at 7 p.m.

Friday night’s game will be the fifth and final meeting between the two teams this season, thus far, it’s been sheer domination from the Bandits.

In their four head-to-head meetings throughout the 2022-23 campaign, Brooks has won all four games, outscoring Calgary by a whopping 25-3.

On Thursday, the Bandits defeated the Camrose Kodiaks 8-1 in the first of back-to-back games. The Canucks dropped their last game on Sunday by a score of 8-5 against the Bonnyville Pontiacs.

Boasting a 47-5-1-1 record, the Bandits are coming into the game riding a six-game win streak in which they’ve outscored opponents 37-9. Calgary has a record of 16-27-6-3 and are on a six-game losing skid, being outscored 38-25 over that time.

The Bandits are first in the AJHL with a 10-point lead over the Spruce Grove Saints, who are in the North Division. The Canucks are outside of a playoff spot with a total of 41 points this season.
