City park benches need repairs after vandalism

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Benches will be removed from a downtown park and repaired after being damaged by an act of vandalism.

The wooden benches in Veterans Memorial Park were vandalized overnight, says the City of Medicine Hat in a news release.

The benches, half of them to start, will be removed from the park for the slats to be replaced.

The city says it will take about three weeks for the benches to be repaired and re-installed in the park.
