MEDICINE HAT, AB – Football fans around the world gathered together to watch the biggest spectacle in sports on Sunday, it was no different in Medicine Hat.

The Kansas City Chiefs emerged victorious in a high scoring affair, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35.

It was the 57th Super Bowl since the big game made it’s debut in 1967. The game has become a celebration that even non-sports fans celebrate and get to enjoy some good snacks.

It’s the hot dogs and chili we came here for,” said an Eagles fan at Dayzoff Pub in Medicine Hat, pre-game.

“It’s going to be a great game, two of the best quarterbacks in the league out there so it’s going to be a great one.”

The game went down to the wire, with the Chiefs earning their second Super Bowl victory in the last four years by winning a tight contest.

Fans across all sports and from every NFL team watch the game to see who concludes the season as the champions. A favourite for many fans is to predict who win the Super Bowl MVP award, which is awarded annually.

“Patrick Mahomes,” said a football fan with a group of friends at Silver Buckle Sports Bar, pre-game, when asked about who would win the award.

“If the Chiefs win it’s definitely going to be Mahomes.”

Mahomes earned his second Super Bowl MVP award as he led the Chiefs to victory over the Eagles in his third appearance in the big game. With the conclusion of the season, a new year in the NFL has begun, and fans will soon be predicting the winner of next years game.
