The Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter Society will be one of the beneficiaries of a well-known sportscaster’s generosity.

Jamie Campbell, the host of Blue Jays Central on Sportsnet is using some of his personal possessions to raise money for women’s shelters across the country. Today he tweeted that his scorecard and ticket stub from Justin Verlander’s no-hitter against the Toronto Blue Jays on May 7, 2011 are up for grabs and all funds received from that single post will go to the Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter Society.

He’s accepting bids through direct messages on Twitter.

Executive director Natasha Carvalho says “This is a wonderful fundraiser on our behalf. We want to thank Jamie Campbell for showing support for us all the way from Toronto, as we work to keep those fleeing family violence and abuse safe here in Medicine Hat.”

Other items he’s using to raise money for shelters include the 2022 Blue Jays scorebook used by his broadcast partner Joe Siddall and his own depth chart and press credentials from the 2002 Super Bowl, which has already been claimed.

Campbell will be in the area March 7 for the Brooks Bombers 7th annual Celebrity Sports Dinner & Auction. Stanley Cup champion and longtime NHLer Brad May and 2010 first-round Calgary Flames draft pick and FAN960’s and Flames Talk’s Brent Krahn will also be at the dinner.
