Apple adds more Canadian talent to broadcast crew for MLS Season Pass

Feb 8, 2023 | 9:47 AM

Canadians Paul Dolan, Greg Sutton, Olivier Brett, Vincent Destouches and Blake Price are joining Apple’s MLS Season Pass broadcast team.

Wednesday marked the third round of on-air personalities announced by Apple and Major League Soccer.

Canadians Patrice Bernier, Kaylyn Kyle, Ross Smith and Matt Cullen were previously announced as part of the broadcast team.

Dolan, Sutton and Destouches will serve as match analysts with Destouches on the French-language side. Brett and Price will be part of the play-by-play team.

Dolan and Sutton are both former Canadian internationals who have gone on to work in broadcasting. Sutton played for five different MLS teams, including Toronto FC and Montreal, while Dolan was a member of Canada’s 1986 World Cup team.

Brett, Price and Destouches, who will work on the French broadcast side, are veteran soccer voices in Canada.

The Apple broadcast team also includes England’s Nigel Reo-Coker, who played for Montreal and the Vancouver Whitecaps, and former MLS MVP Carlos Ruiz, who played for five MLS teams including Toronto FC.

MLS Season Pass launched Feb. 1 on Apple TV ahead of the Feb. 25 kickoff of the 2023 MLS season.

The 10-year rights deal allows fans to watch every game without local blackouts or restrictions. The service will be available in more than 100 countries exclusively through the Apple TV app.

All matches will feature commentary in English or Spanish, while matches involving Canadian teams will also available with French commentary.
