First Strong Towns workshop runs tonight

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Mayor Linnsie Clark spoke about the Strong Towns Community Action Lab as a way to increase the city’s population during her State of the City speech in January.

Tonight city officials hope to see a full house as it hosts its first Strong Towns workshop.

The founder and president of Strong Towns, Charles Marohn, will present ideas to develop short- and long-term growth and economic prosperity to residents at the Esplanade at 7 p.m.

Medicine Hat is the only Canadian city selected to participate in the Strong Towns Community Action Lab.

Tonight is the first of three Strong Towns events.

It will include a 70-minute presentation followed by a 20-minute period for questions.
