Rattlers Roundup: Rattlers take on Highway 3 rivals

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Lethbridge College Kodiaks got the better of the Medicine Hat College Rattlers this weekend in volleyball and basketball action.

The women’s volleyball team saved its best for Saturday, taking the Kodiaks to the limit in a five-set battle. Lethbridge eventually prevailed 17-15 in the deciding set. They lost in three straight sets on Friday.

The men’s team started strong on Friday, winning the first set. It was downhill from there and the Kodiaks won three sets to one.

The men were again only able to take one set from the Kodiaks in at three sets to one loss on Saturday.

The volleyball teams close out the regular season schedule this weekend on the road against Lakeland College on Friday and Keyano College on Saturday.

Lopsided scores were all over the board for the Rattlers basketball teams.

The women’s basketball team tipped off the home games on Friday night, falling 96-45. The men’s team followed and dropped a 97-58 decision.

On Saturday in Lethbridge, the women lost 74-40 while the men lost 93-47.

The basketball teams will host Lakeland College on Friday and Keyano College on Saturday.
