Canadian striker Tosaint Ricketts retires from professional soccer
VANCOUVER — Former Vancouver Whitecaps striker Tosaint Ricketts has announced his retirement from professional soccer.
The 35-year-old Edmonton native will stay on with the Major League Soccer team as a liaison of club and player engagement.
Ricketts played for clubs in eight countries across his 14-year career, including Toronto FC, Finland’s Myllykosken Pallo and Lithuanian side FK Suduva Marijampole.
He amassed 22 goals and five assists in 119 MLS appearances, including seven goals in 65 outings for the Whitecaps.
