Monster truck show roaring through Medicine Hat this weekend

Jan 27, 2023 | 4:46 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Trucks that crush cars and perform cartwheels and flips can only mean one thing.

Monsters and Mayhem returns to Co-op Place this weekend after a two-year break from COVID – and the trucks are coming in with a roar.

“It feels so good to come back. There are so many great fans in Medicine Hat. To be able to see all the familiar faces is really a blast,” said Dallas Glenn-Rogers, the Spitfire monster truck driver.

At the event, there will be six trucks, six monster truck drivers and four freestyle motocross drivers. Motocross drivers will perform risky moves, including the famous backflip.

Monster truck driver, Glenn-Rodgers, says they were preparing for a long time and fans are in for a show.

“There’s some of the craziest monster trucks out there. There’s also the craziness of the motor cross. So you can see some of the riders do the craziest tricks, just like what you see on TV, on the X games, and even on video games – things you wouldn’t think are possible,” said Glenn-Rogers.

Those who arrive early can ride in the monster trucks and ask the drivers’ for their autographs in the pit party.

Monsters and Mayhem takes place tonight at 7 p.m. and on Saturday at 2 p.m at Co-op Place. Tickets are available on the Co-op Place website.
