Pregame: Tigers at Broncos
MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers will face the Swift Current Broncos for the third time in 11 days tonight, still searching for their first win over their Saskatchewan rivals this season.
The Tigers fell 6-4 to the Broncos on Saturday night, one week after a 4-3 overtime loss on New Year’s Eve. Tonight’s contest in Swift Current is the third of eight meetings this season.
The Tabbies (14-19-5-1) are in fifth place in the Central Division, one spot behind the Broncos (18-15-1). Medicine Hat is three points back but has played five more games.
Brenden Lee is pacing the Tigers’ attack, racking up 20 goals and 37 points so far this season. Andrew Basha and Oasiz Wiesblatt have also breached the 30-point mark, with 34 and 31 points, respectively.
