Sunwing’s Saskatchewan flight suspension brings bride to tears

A dad says his daughter has “cried enough to water all the fields in Saskatchewan” after her destination wedding in Mexico was upended by Sunwing’s suspension of flights from Saskatoon and Regina.
Scott Wyber from Moose Jaw says guests started booking tickets in May for his daughter’s wedding in Riviera Maya on Jan. 25, and all 52 guests had paid in full.
Wyber says they found out through a social media post last week that their flight was cancelled, and they’ve been told if they left from other cities the tickets would cost more.
In the end, Wyber said his daughter decided to cancel.
