Four arrested, facing charges after rural suspicious vehicle reports
REDCLIFF, AB – Two reports of suspicious vehicles on rural properties in our area has led to the arrest of four people, all of whom are facing charges.
Police say that on Dec. 30 Redcliff RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle trespassing on a rural industrial site near Suffield. Police soon found the suspect vehicle at a different industrial site and saw the vehicle contained a number of tools consistent with those used to commit break and enters. Police arrested both occupants of the vehicle for possession of break-in instruments and after a search warrant for the vehicle was obtained police found a number of fraudulent identification cards, stolen credit cards and a firearm with the serial number filed off.
Peter Pilgrim, 42, of Medicine Hat, has been charged with possession of break-in instruments, illegal possession of government documents, identity theft and weapons charges.
Cole Mowat, 39, of no fixed address, has been charged with possession of break-in instruments, illegal possession of government documents, weapons charges and fraud-related charges.
