MEDICINE HAT, AB – For the first time in a long time the Esplanade will be filled with the sounds of the Medicine Hat Concert Band Society’s traditional Christmas show on Saturday evening.
Called Christmas, Together Again!, the show will be the group’s first since the retirement of longtime conductor Bill Wahl.
Mark Ward, the conductor of the andante band, joined Dan Reynish on CHAT News at Noon to talk about the nerves and excitement of playing again, the songs they’ll perform and the role of Bugs Bunny in introducing people to classical music.
