Eastbound traffic on Spencer Street reduced to one lane this week

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Traffic flow will be reduced on a busy Medicine Hat thoroughfare for two days this week.
Eastbound traffic on Spencer Street SE between the Dunmore Road/Kingsway Avenue intersection and the curve towards Allowance Avenue SE will be down to one lane on Wednesday and Thursday, says the City of Medicine Hat.
A news release says that work to abandon gas wells on the property of the former ADM Agri-Industries Company (ADM) flour mill will take place in the new year. Preparation work, including excavation near the roadway, is taking place this week to expose the well casing and install a well head.
A perimeter fence has been placed around the work area and will remain until the work is complete in early 2023.
