Fresh off a victory over the last-place Edmonton Oil Kings on Tuesday, the Medicine Hat Tigers will look to make it two wins in as many nights Red Deer Rebels this evening. Tied 1-1 heading into the third period, the Tigers (10-13-4-1) exploded for three goals in the final frame on the way to a 4-2 win.
It will be a much tougher test tonight against the Rebels (18-5-1), who are first in the Central Division and third in the Eastern Conference. The Tigers are fourth in the Central Division and eighth in the Eastern Conference.
The Tigers and Rebels have split the season series so far, with each team winning in the other’s barn. The Rebels beat the Tigers 4-2 on Oct. 21, and the Tigers returned the favour with a 3-2 shootout win on Nov. 25.
