MEDICINE HAT, AB – Next Thursday and Friday the TREX Space downtown will host its second annual pop-up Indigenous Holiday Market, featuring Indigenous artists and artisans based in and around Medicine Hat.
Organizers say there will be a wide variety of art, jewelry and attire available. One of the participants is Brenda Mercer, owner of White Horse Riding Company, who showed off some of her creations today.
Mercer joined Dan Reynish on CHAT News at Noon to share how she got hooked – literally – on beading, why she sticks with it after 50 years and the connection it gives her to her ancestors, and describe a little bit of her artistic process.
