MEDICINE HAT, AB – Strong reactions have come in across the province after Premier Danielle Smith officially introduced the Alberta Sovereignty Within a United Canada Act in the legislature.

Political experts are weighing in about the initial details of the act, also known as Bill 1 and what it will mean for Albertans.

CHAT News spoke with Medicine Hat College political scientist Jim Groom to discuss what the act could mean now that it has been tabled, the relationship between Alberta and Ottawa and the legacy of former premier Jason Kenney.
