Christmas Farmers Market returns to the Stampede Grounds

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Christmas Farmers Market is back at the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede Grounds for it’s 25th year.

The market is full of different vendors offering anything from homemade crafts, to baked goods for all to come and enjoy.

The vendors are not only from Medicine Hat, but from places like Calgary, Saskatchewan and Crowsnest Past that have all gotten together for the two day event.

Doreen Gunderson, Coordinator for the Farmers Market says “anything at the market always catches my eye. The baking is so good, it’s just all good.”

Gunderson has been a part of the staff for 16 of the 25 years the market has been running. She says this years attendance seems to be up so far, especially coming out of last year still dealing with the pandemic.

her final message to those thinking about attending was “Come out and see us it’s a great time, and we would love to see you here.”

The market will only be open until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, so anyone looking to attend the yearly event will have to do so before then.
