MEDICINE HAT, AB – One Medicine Hat student was able to see what life was like for Medicine Hat’s bravest when he was dubbed ‘”fire chief for the day.”
Asher Melanson, a local Grade 6 student, had an action-packed day of activities that includes being picked up from school in a fire truck, wearing fire turnout gear, and conducting drills with the day crew.
The fire chief for the day contest ran during Fire Prevention Week on Oct. 9-15 for local school students from Grades 4-6.
