Roads extremely icy to begin the day

Area is under an icy grip

MEDICINE HAT — No matter where you travel this morning, you’re going to have to deal with icy roads.

Some of the 14 cm of snow that fell on the city yesterday was wet and when the temperature fell below zero, everything froze and roads were especially slick.

City police put out an advisory last night for people to stay home, after a collision snarled traffic in the Kin Coulee dip after 7 pm.

The weather was also blamed for a minor power outage in the Kensington area that left about 200 customers without service for a couple of hours.
