Part of Saratoga Trail closing for drainage work

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A portion of Saratoga Trail will be closed for two weeks so work can be done to improve drainage in the area.
The closure will impact the trail that leads from South Railway Street and continues until just south of the businesses along the Factory Street curve.
Image Courtesy City of Medicine HatIn a news release, the City of Medicine Hat explains the work is meant to address ice buildup on the pathway, making it safer for trail users in below-freezing temperatures. The trail will be excavated to replace an existing culvert. Paving and erosion control measures will follow and then rehabilitation of the disturbed landscape.
