31 new records in Alberta

New daily temperature record set Wednesday in Medicine Hat, says Environment Canada

Environment Canada says Alberta broke 31 daily temperature records and tied another yesterday as warm fall weather hits the province.

The weather summary by the federal agency shows temperatures soared above 30 C in places such as Drumheller, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat.

Records were also broken in Waterton Lakes National Parks in southern Alberta, where it hit 29 C, to Fort Chipewyan in the north.

The hamlet in northern Alberta hit 23.9 degrees, up from the old record of 22 C set in 2017.
