Medicine Hat College introduces new dean

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Dr. Jason Openo has been appointed the new dean of the school of health and community services at Medicine Hat College.

Openo has been a faculty member at the school for more than eight years prior to stepping into his new role. He wants to continue in the direction the school was already heading, saying “nothing is broken”

Although acknowledging the success of the school, the new dean says that nothing is perfect and everything can always be improved. Openo puts an emphasis on excellence when it came to his new position, and is excited to work with his staff.

“I’m just really thrilled to work with them in this new capacity and support what they’re doing,” he says.
