Smile Cookies are back, supporting the Medicine Hat health foundation

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Tim Hortons has been supporting the Medicine Hat & District Health Foundation for more than 20 years, predating the introduction of Smile Cookies.

Each cookie costs $1, with all proceeds from the sales going toward the children’s health sector of the foundation, and the Mustard Seed.

The health foundation is participating by assisting the Tim Hortons staff in decorating the cookies with the smiles.

Heather Bach, executive director of the health foundation, says they’re having fun decorating the cookies so far, and will ensure the proceeds are allocated to the place they are most needed at that time.

“The pediatric department is looking to upgrade their televisions,” says Bach. “So a little bit of entertainment for the kids that are hospital-ridden, as well they’re looking for new rocker recliners for pediatrics as well. So mom and dads that have kids that need somewhere comfortable to sit have it.”

The cookies are being sold until Sept. 25, at all Tim Hortons locations.
